    Looks like a basic spectrophotometer – very small and handheld. Seen and use many of these but not at that size. Definitely interesting but as always with media, overhyped here. There’s a lot of limits to what you can tell from the reflected light which makes a lot of the “what if” comments not possible. Still cool however!
