I have been hearing rumblings recently that this strategy has been working so well for the pension funds that there is a move a foot to put hedge-fund like long-short funds into 401ks. I assume the primary purpose of these placements will be to further increase the asset base for the strategy, thereby increasing its fee generating performance for the strategy’s proponents.
