    I remember CSCO in 2000…It became the “most valuable company in the world” with a market cap north of $500 billion and there were similar charts comparing it to the other huge companies of the time….I wonder where APPL will be in 15 yrs…

    P/E of Cisco was in excess of 50 back then. Apple is around 17 right now.

    Yeah, GM is still there. They just aren’t as glamorous as they used to be. Alcoa is still making aluminum, US Steel is still our biggest steel producer, Exxon is still pumping oil. There’s even a lot of impressive innovation going on, but it just doesn’t it make it into the general press.
